We supported the launch of RENEWS, a web media focusing on “social good” for its article content. Working with a successful European paid media company, we aimed to create a media focused on solving issues. Launch of a news media focused on solving problems.
WHY
To start a movement of slow journalism and change the values about news.
FOCUS
slow journalism “RENEWS” focuses on social good themes and is dedicated to solving issues in which “people, activities, and products” play a leading role. RENEWS collaborates with De Correspondent, a Dutch media outlet that has garnered attention for its slow journalism. Our goal was to create a media that is distinctly different from the Japanese style of reporting, which emphasizes breaking news and topicality.

OUTCOME
Becoming Japan’s first empathetic platform that sets itself apart from traditional media. We have developed a good community by connecting organizations and companies that measure solutions to issues. We have also been able to provide many web media viewers with the information they need, such as “What information do I need? Where can I find useful information? We are also providing many web media viewers with the opportunity to find out what information they need and where they can go to get useful information.
