Visiting the Three Mountains of Dewa Shrine in Yamagata
At BuildVision B.V., we usually work fully remotely. Our strength lies in connecting our European and Japanese members through remote collaboration, allowing us to stay close to stakeholders on both sides.
At the same time, we also recognize the importance of meeting in person. When our European team visited Japan, we joined our Tokyo colleagues on a trip to Tsuruoka City in Yamagata to visit the Dewa Sanzan Shrine. Known as one of Japan’s most significant sites for mountain worship and ascetic training, Dewa Sanzan Shrine is located deep within the forests of Mount Haguro. Being surrounded by its overwhelming natural beauty, while experiencing the culture of people who have long coexisted with nature by revering it as sacred, was deeply inspiring for us as we think about building sustainable cities.
For our stay, we chose the hotel Suiden Terrace, which seems to float among the rice fields. Enjoying bowls of freshly steamed, gleaming white rice while gazing out at the endless expanse of fields was truly unforgettable, especially for our European team.
