Event planning and production to market denim made from sugarcane residue to the European sustainable fashion market.

WHY

To promote not only denim products but also upcycling technology itself, which originated in Japan, to the European market.

FOCUS

SHIMA DENIM, Japan’s first sustainable denim manufacturer, uses bagasse (sugarcane residue) for fabric, dyes with bio-indigo, and develops custom-made items using a 3D body scanner.

We planned and coordinated a business meeting and experience & exchange event organized in collaboration with Denim City in the Netherlands. We also provided support for the establishment of a base in Europe and export strategies.

OUTCOME

Although the Covid-10 crisis prevented us from holding the event offline, we were able to hold the business meeting online and contribute to networking with key people and key communities. We continue to consult with them on their plans to establish a base in the Netherlands.
