SiD Workshop in Business Creation Project on Food

As a major food company, we were required to achieve sustainability in “food” and also to make changes that would have an impact on the industry as a whole. Therefore, we held a workshop on the concept of “SiD,” which enables a bird’s-eye view of the entire system, and learned a method to derive a solution from finding the issue to the solution.
WHY
To create actions that will have a positive impact on the entire food system as well as on business creation projects related to food in a major food company.
FOCUS
The participants learned about the SiD concept of designing sustainable strategies based on systems thinking, and then went on to discuss issues and solutions while drawing a system map using the food business as an actual case study.
PROCESS

OUTCOME
When considered through SiD’s systems thinking, sustainability is very complex and there are many challenges. By taking a bird’s eye view of the entire process, we learned methods to create solution measures that bring about dynamic change.
