A request from a medical device manufacturer. We conducted design research and design sprints connecting Japan and Europe as part of a research effort to improve the equipment.
WHY
In order to improve medical equipment, it is necessary to proceed with development after directly listening to real voices from the field, and also to solidify the basic concept for the development of actual equipment with the participation of manufacturers and hospital personnel.
FOCUS
Discussion of ideas and concepts not customary in Japan, incorporating knowledge from Europe and other foreign countries.

OUTCOME
By collaborating with a Dutch design research firm, we were able to realize a research plan that incorporated European context and perspectives. The project was highly acclaimed as a unique and advanced approach for a medical device development project.
