Market research for a major food company to promote product development related to vegetable oils. Since most of the European documents were written in English, we collaborated with native English speakers to compile the research results.
WHY
To find a direction for future product development by referring to policies and consumer awareness in Europe, where environmental awareness is high.
FOCUS
Vegetable oils have become indispensable for the stable supply of products due to their high production efficiency. At the same time, however, it has been pointed out that vegetable oil may destroy tropical rainforests and threaten biodiversity, and major food product manufacturers needed various data on how to proceed with product development in the future.
OUTCOME
Working with native English-speaking staff, most of the materials that delve deeply into European policies and consumer attitudes are often written in English. We scrutinized and translated a vast amount of literature, documents, and data, picking out the information that we thought would be useful. Even so, the volume of information exceeded 300 pages. We also paid close attention to the way the report was compiled, designing it not simply as “research results” but as “reading material” that expands knowledge. The client was pleased to hear us say, “Once you start reading, you’ll find yourself in a swamp of knowledge that you can’t take your eyes off of.
