Assist in creating a roadmap for the department based on systemic goals

A food company asked us to create a roadmap for how to create systemic change as a leading company in the food industry. We conducted a workshop using the SiD method based on systems thinking, and created a roadmap from a holistic perspective, including not only changes in products, but also impacts on stakeholders and the global environment.
WHY
To think about what kind of systemic change should be made as a food company and to create a roadmap, it was necessary to think about problem solving from a holistic perspective of systems thinking. Also, because an objective viewpoint was needed and an honest review of the final roadmap was required.
FOCUS
We incorporated workshops using SiD (Systems Thinking-based Approach to Designing Sustainable Strategies) theory, and worked on System Map Ideation and Network Analysis, with the ultimate goal of creating a roadmap from a holistic perspective.

OUTCOME
We learned to understand scoping a system based on SiD’s systems thinking perspective, and then how to use system maps and network analysis to find solutions that can bring about greater change.
