Our Mr. Yoshida spoke at a seminar held by MLIT
I spoke at the 4th “GX Creation Meeting Urban, Green and Carbon Neutral x Frontiers of Urban Policies Around the World” seminar covered by the Japanese Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, and gave a talk on urban development in Europe (the Netherlands).
This time, I gave a speech in the style of “talking about the preface of a book. This is because the time I had was too short and I did not have enough time to talk about “Urban Development in Europe” as a whole. So, as a preface to the book, I gave a basic outline and some concrete examples of European town planning. Living in the area, one becomes familiar with information about the area, but in Yoshida’s case, it seems that he learned from everyone that he is not familiar with the situation in Japan and that he is weak. I hope that we can promote urban development by combining the best of both Japan and Europe.
In that sense, this book, “Who’s Who in Town,” introduces many examples from Europe, and it is composed of a list of practical examples that can be used immediately by Japanese practitioners, and advice from Europe for those who are involved in urban development in Japan. This book (fictitious) was very well received at today’s seminar. Here are a few images of the table of contents that we discussed at the seminar.
